KFC BuckETH: NFT offering a year's worth of chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken

Fast food giant KFC has announced that its Indian franchise will launch a cryptocurrency, KFC BuckETH. NFTs can be obtained through a social media competition, with designs selected from submissions from artists across the country. KFC claims the contest winner will receive a year’s worth of fast food his chicken products as an additional prize.

Using the Ethereum blockchain as a host, KFC and Blink Digital will mint KFC BuckETH. A “tribute to India’s rich melting pot culture,” the piece was created to commemorate the fast food franchise’s opening of his 600 outlets in his 150 cities in India.

summary

The NFT industry is already crowded, but KFC is just stepping in.

In March 2017, Taco Bell made history by launching the fast food chain’s first proprietary NFT collection. The company showcased five different “NFTacoBells” of his and on the Rarible marketplace he sold out within 30 minutes.

However, Burger King partnered with NFT platform Sweet in September 2021 to allow consumers to scan a QR code to obtain NFTs.

Additionally, for the past 40 years, McDonald’s has been known for its signature McRib sandwich. Therefore, no individual items from this series were ever sold. Collectors had to acquire them.
