NFT company, candy digitalescaped the predicament by teaming up with a legendary video provider, Getty ImagesTogether we will launch an NFT collection based on hand-picked photographs of legendary 70’s musicians and the photographers who captured them. Music and photography fans can expect to have access to priceless snapshots of rock icons such as Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, and James Brown.

Getty Images boasts an extensive catalog of stock photos, which proved very attractive to Candy Digital. Since its launch in late 2021, the NFT company has focused on sports collections, but is now expanding its reach into music photography.

Candy Digital will be offering a curated collection of photographs through the Open Edition Mint scheduled for March 21st. This is the result of a partnership between Getty and Candy that was first announced last May.

Candy Digital aims to break new ground

According to Scott Lawin, CEO of Candy, “We are really excited about the fact that we are talking to a different type of audience. It’s really creating an opportunity to discover and collect different types of content and IP.”

Lawin adds that this is a long-term partnership that Candy Digital is looking to build over time. His company is very keen to research the millions of photos in Getty’s archives, some of which are decades old and some of which cover a wide variety of subjects. I have.

Rather than being organized around musical talents such as Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones, a standout aspect of this collection is that it features the work of six photographers, including David Redfern and Finn Costello. Also, these unlimited collectibles are priced between $25 and $200, with rarity built around the waiting period for the desired piece to arrive.
