Cardano NFT Project, land of clay, is making waves in the world of Web3 games, and another giant leap for virtual humanity is about to begin.
Clay Nation will be the first Cardano project to join The Sandbox, a virtual world where players can create and monetize gaming experiences using the Ethereum blockchain and native token SAND.
The integration of this project with The Sandbox is very important as it will help drive Web3 interoperability between the two largest blockchains.
The project announced on Twitter that it is working with Smobler Studios. Smobler Studios is a Singapore-based metaverse architecture and creative agency funded by The Sandbox Game and Brinc. Together, they plan to give fans an immersive gaming experience.
This is the only news we know so far, but it is certainly exciting and should be adopted not only in the Web3 space, but also in the Cardano and Ethereum blockchains.
What is Clay Nation
Clay Nation is a collection of 10,000 unique digital characters made from handcrafted clay and stored on the Cardano blockchain.
The $CLAY token is the project’s primary utility and governance token, used for all transactions within Clay Nation’s virtual environment.
Trade Clay Nation in Clay Space. This is a one-stop-shop marketplace where members can buy, sell, and trade Clay Nation assets for $CLAY tokens only.
Last year, Clay Nation developer Claymates announced a collaboration with American rock band Good Charlotte to launch GC X Clay Nation, a selection of Trick or Treat inspired NFTs.
In another collaboration, “bronn and bronnie‘ is a collaboration between Snoop Dogg and his son Champ Medici. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson appeared in the video.
SpaceBudz – Cardano’s Record-Breaking NFT Collection
The most expensive Clay Nation NFT is just over $200,000, a very respectable amount, but smaller than Cardano’s flagship NFT collection, SpaceBudz.
SpaceBudz is Cardano’s flagship NFT collection. over $1 million.
Launching in March 2021, SpaceBudz is the first collection of algorithmically generated NFTs on the Cardano blockchain, consisting of 10,000 unique digital artworks.
The collection features meticulously hand-painted depictions of animals in space suits.
One of the first NFT collections, it quickly gained popularity within the Cardano community for creating the NFT metadata standard and launching the first fully smart contract-based marketplace.
Exciting Times for Blockchain Interoperability
Clay Nation developers Claymates bring their largest collection to Sandbox, an Ethereum-based platform, benefiting everyone involved.
Clay Nation owners should undoubtedly benefit from the interest in their digital assets, and an uptick in valuations is most likely.
While some see it as a way for developers to move from Cardano to Ethereum, Claymate is based on Cardano and will be the primary beneficiary of a set of interoperable NFTs.
It’s early days for sure, but if this succeeds, there’s no reason why SpaceBudz and all other NFT collections on all blockchains can’t be integrated. Exciting times!
