Since then, he has held marketing roles in several start-ups, including decentralized lending platform He DeFiner and biotech company He Poliloop, which specializes in plastic waste processing.
In this interview, Colin raves about his latest project, CaesarVerse, a historically authentic Roman metaverse game. With Caesarverse, Colin aims to disrupt the Gamefi market by focusing on immersing players in educational, free-to-play environments.

What is Caesar Bath?
CaesarVerse is an open world MMO chronicling the rise and fall of Rome. Designed to be a historically accurate and authentic Roman metaverse, players can learn about different cultures and societies through immersion. We want to make games that are not only fun and entertaining, but also educational.

How can CaesarVerse disrupt the Gamefi market?
CaesarVerse was created to truly reflect the Roman era, using historical maps, accounts, and other sources used to build the world. Players can roam the world and interact with the environment, other players, and NPCs.
Through immersive and historically accurate settings, dialogue, and missions, we deliver an intense and engaging gaming experience with the added benefit of passive education, a true blend of fun and learning. We hope that in the future we will be able to incorporate VR for an unprecedented immersive experience.
Players can trade gladiators who can participate in gladiatorial combat within a series of arenas. All players can serve legions in a cooperative combat experience that recreates some of the great battles of classical antiquity. included. Players are rewarded by offering tokens and lands similar to their rank. Our payscale is intended to represent the payout of soldiers at that point in time, motivating players to rank up while providing a fun way to become part of the economy.
CaesarVerse introduces a rank structure for Legion Combat where higher ranked players can command other players. These players earn his XP boost by following the Commander’s orders. While the demo release will only consist of gladiatorial combat within the arena, this ranked combat will be introduced upon his 2024 full release.
The open world encourages exploration and trading with different civilizations as well as other players. As a Web3 game, it also features in-game NFT assets and additional components. CaesarVerse is primarily focused on recreating ancient civilizations that have had a major impact on modern society. We want to give history buffs and gamers a way to immerse themselves in the past as deeply as possible.
You’ve talked about the educational element of the game before, how does CaesarVerse educate the player?

Professors can create missions, tasks, or recreate historical events for students to experience. We believe this is a much more engaging and interactive way to learn compared to traditional reading assignments and historical documentaries.
Educators must compete with other content sources for student attention. Gameplay makes students much more likely to stay focused and retain information. We want to create the best homework assignments for our students.

What are the real-time strategy elements of CaesarVerse?
I have always been a big fan of RTS games and have spent thousands of hours on games like Age of Empires and the Total War series. But I always wanted combat ability as well. Consul has a combat system where different ranks have different commands, such as Consul he controls two legions, Legate controls his one legion, Centurion he controls an army of a century, and so on. These soldiers will be a mix of bots and players depending on how many active players are in the campaign.
Commanders need to know their enemies and their fighting styles. For while a ferocious charge from the Gallic tribes is to be expected, the Parthians will engage the horse archers before attacking with their cataphracts. Rather than each player sprinting into his one-on-one combat, we want a command structure that ensures realistic combat and unit movement. The discipline and organization of the legions set Rome higher than its opponents, so it was important to protect the flanks and maintain a strong line of battle.
How does CaesarVerse’s gameplay attract new players?
Our target audience is history gamers and enthusiasts. As a history nerd and avid gamer, I found most studio offerings to be set in fantasy rather than history.
Our goal is to appeal to this audience through engaging and fun gameplay. It goes beyond detailed, historical content, and offers a challenge rarely seen in modern games. Elden Ring is a great example, where the higher the difficulty, the more rewarding the win.
You mentioned earlier that many of today’s Web3 games are profit-driven, so how is CaesarVerse different?
The main differentiator is that it’s free to play. How do you see Gamefi progressing in the next few years? When will it go mainstream?
I believe Gamefi is going mainstream. Looking at the costs associated with developing a game, studios should look to ongoing revenue streams beyond the initial purchase of the game. Loot boxes and Battle Passes are prime examples. If your in-game economy and player base are robust enough to sustain your model, Gamefi is the perfect solution for both studios and players.
Players can benefit from their skill and time commitment, and studios can continue to develop and support their games through the exchange of merchandise. We’ve seen the problem of rapidly declining player counts and unsustainable models, but more and more mainstream titles will move in this direction if the content is compelling and quality updates are delivered. I think. By 2025, we will see more AAA titles adopting this model.

We are planning to cast our first collection of Gladiator in the next few months! We are currently finalizing the character models and hope to have the smart contracts completed soon.
